So with Toni’s WBC, it was not a good sign. On Charlie, it was obvious that there was a breach due to his physical condition, and Skippy was big question mark yet had pad damage as well, and Mikey I thought is OK with no damage at all.

So, how can I be certain that this Disease did stop in the body?? Well, the dogs got infected sometime right after Dino around the middle of the month of August. It takes about 14 days of which the virus needs to begin to replicate throughout the body of the infected animal. Then you will see Fevers, withdrawal symptoms, stool symptoms, pad damage and goop in the eyes and even some physical damage-taking place prior to the chewing gum stage. Normally the whole process takes about 30-35 days total from beginning to the end.

So I knew that by late middle to end of September 2007, this disease will be showing the chewing gum factor by this time period if Newcastles did not work. Well, all the dogs passed and went beyond this most critical period with flying colors. That is when I knew the disease is gone from the body. “Officially.”

Still the danger lurked inside the nervous system as Doctor Sears explained to me. NDV cannot breach the blood brain barrier and the only way for anyone to get that in there is to be done manually via Cerebral tap. I also had to deal with the Parvo and Rabies danger as well as the other diseases still on going since I cannot give unless they are healthy.

So come October 5th, one-day prior for the Parvo/Corona shots, then it happened on Toni. She went crazy late Friday afternoon as I sat working on my computer. She went into a very bad seizure, which lasted a good 2 minutes. Definite OLD DOG Seizure as it is known. I contacted Doctor Sears again, and he told me that it is too late for me to save Toni since the blood brain barrier got breached. I begged him to tell me if there was anything that could be done. He finally told me about his experiment with Doctor Adams over 30 years ago and how it worked on the 2 test dogs. He also explained to me about what happens when the NDV gets inside the brain fluid. So armed with this information, I went to Bangkok to ask the doctors there to do this procedure and inject the NDV as instructed to the cerebral cavity. The doctors in Bangkok refused to do such procedure. I did not know anyone else who can do such and of course-> yes the Doctor in where I lived. I had very bad blood with him for causing me all the problems on my dogs and infecting them plus the abuse that happened to Schnops and the lack of hygiene given.

So, I went back home defeated. I knew that Toni was going to die because I had no one to do the Cerebral Tap on her. So I told her about God, showed the sky of where he was and of the light and she looked up, and knew what I was talking about somehow, because I saw it on her face, and looked at me after my explanation, and then showed her the coffin I was making for her and told her of about Dino waiting for her on the other side, so I let her on the lawn, let her breath the fresh air, and let her look around.

I then took pictures of her about 48 hours prior to her death because I wanted her memory alive in my heart, and spent as much time talking to her that I could do or say. On Friday October 12th, 2007 at 11:35PM Toni died laying beside me on the chair. Again I grieved and cried, and was in deep pain, knowing I lost the only girl of the third generation of Doxies. She too is now entombed and I know now she is with her brother Dino, and with God and both of them will be waiting for me when my time to go from planet earth.

So, on October 13th, 2007, I gave the three remaining kids their parvo/corona shots and also the second full vaccination shots to the two little puppies as well. After 7 days went by then Skippy went into a mild seizure. This one was much less than Toni, and very brief lasting tops 45 seconds. I knew when this happened Skippy too had the blood brain barrier breached. It is known that Parvo opens up the Blood Brain Barrier, and when that happened it exposed the antibodies inside the cerebral fluid, hence the seizures on Skippy. No need to test since it is very diagnostic. As of Charlie no seizure, but his coordination was getting worse and worse. On Charlie, he had myelin damage to quite an extent. Mikey still OK. According to Doctor Sears dogs that survived with secondary damage after getting the NDV the first time, have a high chance of the antibodies breaching the blood brain barrier if not given inside that 4-6 day window. The time factor of when the OLD DOG Seizures will occur is from 10 days to 8 years. Every case was different. However when it does happen, it comes without any warning or advance tips.

On some dogs it is really bad, and on some dogs it is mild or light. Depends again, which I think myself that the WBC which basically now sort of tips me off of things to come. We do know that Canine Distemper virus will attack the bone marrow to some degree, hence the variations of the WBC counts. How much is still unknown.

So I told Skippy to hold on and wait 2 weeks so I can get the Doctor to do the job on him. Finally when time came I settled the issue with this Doctor, and had a long long talk with him, he finally agreed to do the Cerebral Spinal Tap on both dogs.

I knew then the dogs had a decent chance to be saved. So, the big question mark was whether or not I have any NDV and such order was made and to arrive later the month. I was disheartened knowing that Skippy has been fighting all this time. Then it dawned on me that I might have some in the refrigerator. Behold, yes I had some, but was not sure if it was good or not. So on November 6th, 2007, I took the NDV to the Doctor and behold it was good and very much new, so the doctor performed the Cerebral Spinal Tap on the Foramen Magnum area and injected 0.1cc of NDV and put in 0.2cc of saline to flush the fluid back to the brain fluid and leave nothing behind. Both dogs had this done the same evening.

I am happy to report that the procedure was a complete success, and the experiment from Doctor Adams and Doctor Sears that took place 35 years ago is in fact very legitimate and that it does work. Lucky that Doctor Sears still remembered that test years ago.

This is a bit early to report, but I do see signs of positive recovery on Charlie, because he is now active, his eyes now fully opened, and that his demyelination on the nerves causing the paralysis has stopped. On Skippy apparently he is OK and I believe he too is getting well in spite of having seizures every now and then which technically all dogs die once the seizures start..

In other words both of them are under going another re-learning process as the NDV stopped the progression of the damage to the CNS, and hopefully restores their ability to be normal again.

Basically once the NDV gets inside the cerebral fluid, you have to understand something first concerning the workings of the C-4 cells and the C-4 25 cells. All normal dogs have absolutely no antibodies in their brain fluid. Once there is antibodies in the brain fluid or spinal canal, what happens is the immune system kicks in and attacks the antibody and it also attacks the good myelin and Schwann cells thus causing short circuits between the brain and nervous system, hence the seizures and problems resulting from such seizure such as a jerking rear leg or other signs of damage even causing paralysis.

So essentially the C-4 T cells in the immune system is turned on and this as mentioned is what does the damage. Not the brain cells, but the myelin and Schwann cells only, which is the most vital part that coordinates the dogs to move their legs or bark or react, or run or lay down etc. The main connection and branch so to speak right at the base of the skull and spine.

Now what happens is once the NDV gets inserted into the Cerebral fluid, this NDV somehow probably converted and changed the cell structure of C-4 to C-4 25 cells, and this turns off this damage mode the C4 T cells inside the immune system, and stops the demyelination and the mess.

At the same token Doctor Sears and I hope it destroys all the distemper antibodies inside the brain fluid and then somehow it gets the myelin and the Schwann cells to restore this damage and somehow repairs itself. It stops the demyelination and its damage in about 12 hours, and it takes about 24 hours for the entire nervous system and brain system to be protected and changed to C-4 25 cell structure. The body of the same dog already has the C-4 25 cell structure in the blood system. So now once it is done in the brain fluid area, the dog is entirely all C-4 25 cell structured.

The big question remains once the damaged is stopped the results will show up later over the course of time of its extent and it can finally really show you how much the real damage actually took place. Once you see this, then hopefully the dog can recover.

The distemper virus with respect to the cytokine distemper antibodies cannot function in this cell structure hence they are destroyed. What was previously destroyed by the antibodies, and by the immune system, somehow hopefully gets reversed and it restores itself. Both the myelin and the Schwann cells hopefully do come back and make the connections again. From a previous autopsy done on their two test animals 30 years ago, they even noticed parts of the Brain on the left side of these dogs was just showing some signs of going into regression and it was repairing itself as well. Right after this discovery Dr. Adams died thus ending the trials and experimentation.

Now if you were to ask me how long would this repair take, there are no answers. All I know is from the two test dogs that were done, they had advance severe case of OLD DOG, and could not walk or even see. According to their experiments, the dogs were able to move again to some extent and to see again within 10-20 days after the injection.

So in my case, I have no idea as to my dogs time frame of recovery and only time will tell me. Also if you were to ask me how long will the dog live after this, I again have no answer. Why, because I just did it to my dogs now, so I will have to assume that if the repairs are done as expected, and the results are positive, then I would expect them to lead a long normal life span.

In all honesty I took a big chance and a huge gamble in trusting Doctor Sears. I am very glad that I did take such gamble and took such chance to trust this man and wonderful person whom I never met personally. The three survivors and I, owe this Doctor Sears a lot for saving their lives. If it was not for him, All but one maybe my dogs will have been dead by now.

So for what it is worth, I say GO FOR IT, TRUST THIS MAN, TRUST THIS MEDICAL METHOD, TRUST THIS VACCINE, because there is nothing that I can find that comes close to dealing with A VIRUS as bad as Canine Distemper. THIS IS THE CURE AND THIS VACCINE IS THE ANSWER.

I don’t know how to expound this out to you, let alone appeal to you but you got to believe and you have to have faith and good common sense. You have to weed out the bullshit from the real stuff. Well, I did just that and this is straight up and straight to the point. NDV does cure dogs of Canine Distemper as long as you follow the Doctors steps and instructions.

To do the body and inject into the blood, remember-->>> 0.1cc of NDV for every pound or 0.45 kg. If between, add another 0.1cc of NDV regarding on the weight. You can do this as long as the dog has not reached the chewing gum stage or fatal stage. Most preferred is to catch this disease inside the 4-6 day window to avoid secondary effects. After this then do the blood test to get the readings of the WBC. Hopefully it reads better than 10.0. If below this, you are almost guaranteed that the OLD DOG will be coming sooner than you expect.

After this about 7 days, then if you can do, get the Cerebral Spinal Tap done to check for any distemper antibodies if the dog is not showing any signs of secondary damage or if you have a dog with a big question mark and not sure either way whether or not it breached the blood brain barrier.

If the dog shows obvious signs of distemper breach like walking as if it was drunk, or half sleepy eyes and or just wants to sleep all the time or not active etc., or if you give the dog a Parvo/Corona shot (MLV) (the dog will go into seizure like 7 days after such shot) or shows the obvious secondary characteristics of this disease then you know the distemper antibodies did breach the blood brain barrier. No first fact-finding tap is really needed. This part is very diagnostic. So, PLEASE -> Then do the Cerebral Cavity Injection Tap as soon as your able to do so to stop further damage to the nervous system caused by the virus breaching the blood brain barrier. Under no circumstances is anyone to give MLV Parvo/Corona vaccine to a Distemper survivor. The Parvo MLV reacts badly to NDV. The Parvo Killed Virus is safe and effective and gives no reaction to dogs having NDV in their system.

To do the Cerebral Spinal Tap, the VET has to have the I.V. flowing, the dog injected with anesthesia and then inject some anti-shock medication (if using the Diluent) into the Cather, and do not have to give anti-shock meds if using Saline which is the safe method, and have the base of the skull shaved off of hair, then on one needle have 0.1cc of NDV and on the other needle have 0.2cc of saline solution. Once in the Cerebral Spine, extract 0.5cc of brain fluid. Take out at least 0.3cc of brain fluid to use for testing of distemper antibodies and leave the remaining 0.2cc of brain fluid in that syringe. Then insert the 0.1cc of NDV with the remaining 0.2cc of brain fluid mix it up and make sure no air is in that syringe or needle, and then put the needle back in and inject and then flush the fluid down with the 0.2cc of saline to get everything back in. Again I repeat MAKE SURE THERE IS NO AIR GOING BACK INTO THE BRAIN FLUID.

After this just wait and be patient and the dog will recover. Takes about an hour. Once it gets back up on its feet, then safe to take home. Let the dog go at its own pace, and it will get stronger as time goes on. Be patient and keep an eye on your dog.

Do not give your dog any baths or get it wet for at least minimum 1 week. Also do not do any vaccinations at all after this procedure for at least minimum of 4-5 months. Remember to give the Vaccinations the dog has to be healthy and not be in recovery or be sick. Otherwise the vaccines do not work.

When you do give such vaccinations provided it is safe to do so, make sure you use KILLED VIRUS VACCINE and not modified live virus vaccine. It is much safer to used the killed version vaccine. Also BE ADVISED YOU CAN ONLY DO THE NDV INJECTIONS ONLY ONE TIME (ONCE) FOR BODY AND ONE TIME ONLY FOR THE BRAIN FLUID.

Any extra or additional injections will create antibodies that the NDV is designed for and probably will kill your animal. Dogs are not chickens so remember this much.

Until the day comes when they finally have the cure that is more refined and much better technology modified wise, and by then such eventually will get published in the Medical Journals, the NDV currently as it is, IS the only hope we all animal owners have and the only cure and the only hope any dog has if you truly want to save your dogs life if no Serum can be found or made in time.

Just to give you an idea how deadly this Canine Distemper really is. It ruins the teeth on the dogs, turning it yellow, and also leaves a ring mark if the permanents were coming out. This ring mark can tell you also how long the dog was infected before this virus was stopped. This Disease attacks everything in the dog, and really damages the nervous system, all the internal organs, the bone marrow, the eyes and its tear makings and drainage, does damage to the paws, and causes obvious physical signs of damage such as difficulty walking and eventually does hit the Brain. This disease is not only a contact disease but also is an Airborne type of disease and can travel up to 20 miles diameter THROUGH THE AIR. This disease contaminates everything inside the house, and toys etc., and only a bleach solution with water will kill this virus short of direct sunlight. If anyone you know has puppies in their home, don’t let those people visit at your house, because they can carry this virus to their home infecting any dog that is not vaccinated right via the clothes. That is why this disease is VERY CONTAGIOUS.

In comparing the other three dangerous diseases like Rabies, which needs a bite from some rabid animal and if infected it attacks the brain, and the other Parvovirus, it will attack the bone marrow lowering the WBC to less than 4 and in many cases down to 2, and this can kill quickly within 48 hours. The other dangerous Disease is Hepatitis, which will damage the kidneys and liver of the animal. So out of these Diseases herein mentioned I would say definitely that Canine Distemper is the WORSE AND MOST DEADLY DISEASE since it does the most damage overall to the animal short of Rabies.

I made my one very bad deadly and dangerous mistake. I compromised the Doxies their immune system thinking nothing can happen for just one week. It turns out that the one-week I thought they be Ok, became my WORST NIGHTMARE.

I am still not out of the woods yet. I still have the dangerous Parvo to contend with at time of this writing, and I have to be patient and give the dogs their proper recovery period before giving their protection, and need to do it slowly to build it up.

The one thing that you also need to be told is any Dog that was injected with NDV; you cannot give them any combination vaccine shots that contain Distemper and Parvo together. The primary separation has to be Parvo and Distemper. Do not combine these two vaccines together. In fact you do not need to give it any more Distemper vaccine shots because the NDV will be good from 5 years to life alone all by itself. Titer readings will be very high and can reach 1/1600. Standard and normal readings is usually is 1/20 to 1/40. After the range of Distemper Titer readings come down, then you can do the Distemper vaccine shots. Until then, DO NOT DO IT because PARVO vaccine opens up the blood brain barrier. In other words Distemper antibodies can breach this barrier if the WBC is not high enough which will be the only defense the nervous system has (until the barrier closes up), to stop this breach. Even today they are still doing research about the issues of Blood Brain Barriers and trying to understand it.

Now where I am at, being in Thailand, it is very hard for me to find the vaccines I need. The hardest to find is Caniffa. I already found Parvo/Corona as stand alone, Kennel cough, Parainfluenza (Pneumodog) stand alone, Rabies as stand alone. No problem there. If I get Caniffa then I will be OK and still meet the same requirements as giving Combo shots to regular normal dogs. The only glitch on Caniffa is that it has Distemper vaccine and I do not have any other choice but to use it, knowing already the Titers on Distemper is already very high. I need to protect the dogs from the other diseases associated with the Caniffa vaccine.

Injecting the dogs with Caniffa should be Ok, because the Blood Brain Barrier is closed keeping out the antibodies from doing the breach because I am not giving Parvo vaccine. When all the dogs are up to date, only then will I be out of the woods safety wise.

So as time goes on knowing what the diseases will do, yes I do expect more than usual problems coming from the 3 Canine Survivors as they aged. They will be vulnerable to ailments much more than the normal dogs.

So for what this story is worth, TRUST DOCTOR SEARS MEDICAL METHOD. I am glad I did and have not regretted it ever since because it was Doctor Sears method that saved my dogs from a DEFINITE DEATH SENTENCE.

I dedicate this story to DINO who to me is my HERO. It was Dino who alerted me to this disease and was such a very brave dog so close to my heart, yet had the look in his eyes telling me he wanted to live, as I sang to him and telling him to remember me and of God, before I put him to sleep. It was indeed the hardest thing to do in my entire life. I did not want this Disease to take away what little he had left of his mind. This will haunt me forever. I also dedicate this story to Toni who was so precious to me and she held on as long as she could because she too wanted to live and to be with me. Going thru these seizures with her is also the worst thing I will ever experience in my life. I promised myself to not let another dog of mine suffer what these two little Hero’s of mine did. Never again. I vowed to fight this virus with everything I have and I hope that I have won. Therefore I give up my two precious dogs to you God, so please take care of them for me while I am here, and have them come back to me when my time to meet them arrives and let them take me and my family of Tiger and all the other members of the Petrovic Doxies family to our new home. I will forever always love you and I truly do miss you Dino and Toni and will always keep you near my heart and me forever.
